From Visit Norway: The most famous hike in the area is the one to the top of mount Skåla, a mountain in the Jostedalsbreen National Park with grand views of the surrounding glaciers, fjords and mountains. At the top, you will find one of Norway’s most original hiking cabins, called Kloumannstårnet or Skålatårnet.
Built in 1891, this round tower is definitely a tourist attraction in its own right. Spend the night there or just make yourself a well-deserved cup of coffee. The hike to the top of Mount Skåla takes six to eight hours and requires a good level of fitness.
