Sea eagle safari in Måløy

Sea eagle safari with Explore 62 North and the sailing boat Westland is a powerful experience. Already when we sail Måløysundet, you will feel the tension rise and hear that the mood on board rises as well. The white-tailed eagle is the world's largest eagle, with a wingspan of up to 265 cm!

We know many of the sea eagles' areas and nests where we get a close encounter with the majestic birds of prey. We bring a bucket of herring or mackerel which we will throw out to the sea eagles which then come all the way down to the sea and pick the fish. A powerful experience for young and old! Remember to bring your mobile phone, camera, warm clothes, and extra batteries.

Fish waste is hauled out of boats all year round, which both sea eagles, seagulls and other seabirds enjoy. The sea eagle population in our areas is growing every year, the eagles are fine and easily catch their own food. We are very proud of the eagles and have names of several of them.
